Tar Heels don't have to play well to win at Clemson

Posted by on Thu, Feb 10, 2011 at 11:11 PM

UNC didn’t put on its usual offensive show in its women’s basketball trip to Clemson, but the No. 13 Tar Heels were good enough to win another game on the road.

But Italee Lucas led four Tar Heels in double figures with 15 points in a 60-47 victory over the Tigers.

Laura Broomfield added 13 points and 11 rebounds for UNC (22-3, 8-2), while She’la White added 12 points and Jessica Breland 10 points and 11 rebounds. Tierra Ruffin-Pratt, who didn’t score a point, added 11 rebounds.

Sthefany Thomas led Clemson (10-15, 3-7) with 13 points while Kirstyn Wright chipped in 12.

The Tar Heels’ next game is at home on Sunday against Miami.
