Marissa Kastanek had a career-high 25 points, but it wasn’t enough to prevent N.C. State’s first loss of the season.

Tierney Jenkins led the way with 25 points and 11 rebounds, sparking host Alabama to a 95-84 victory over the Wolfpack (2-1).

Amber White added 21 points for State, while freshmen Kody Burke and Breezy Williams each chipped in a season-high 10.

Jasmine Robinson added 19 points for the Crimson Tide.

The Wolfpack committed 30 turnovers in the loss.

Alabama led 16-10 early and never trailed the rest of the way, leading by 28 points with 11:35 to go.
