Mudcats pour 18 hits on Montgomery in opener

Luis Terrero and Dave Sappelt each had three hits including a double with three RBI, pacing an 18-hit attack as the Carolina Mudcats topped the host Montgomery Biscuits 11-6 on Thursday night.

Jake Kahaulelio homered and singled while Kris Negron added a solo shot for the Mudcats, helping Travis Webb (5-6) pick up the victory in the opener of their five-game series.

Devin Mesoraco had four hits for Carolina.

Leslie Anderson homered and singled for the Biscuits.

Jake McGee (2-6) was the losing pitcher.
