Duke seniors Vince Oghobaase and Thaddeus Lewis have been invited to the NFL Scouting Combine, scheduled for Feb. 24-March 2 in Indianapolis.

Over 300 players have been invited to the event, which was first held in 1982.

Oghobaase (pictured), a defensive tackle, had 37 tackles including 7 ½ for losses and 2 ½ sacks this season despite missing four games with injuries.

Quarterback Lewis finished his career with 48 school records, and passed for 10,065 yards as a Blue Devil. He completed 274 of 449 passes for 3,330 yards with 20 TDs and eight interceptions for the Blue Devils.

Trainer Engelhardt retires

In other news involving Duke football, the Blue Devils' head athletic trainer Dave Engelhardt has announced his retirement after over 36 years in the profession.

The retirement will be effective on Jan. 29.

Robert "Hap" Zarzour, who has been a member of Duke's training staff and the head football athletic trainer for 18 seasons, will be the new director of athletic training.
