Posted by on Tue, May 4, 2010 at 7:57 PM

Voting results in the Republican primary for Chatham County Board of Commissioners have trickled in.
In District 3, Brian Bock won 55 percent of the vote over former Democrat-turned-Republican Cadle Cooper. Bock will face incumbent Democrat George Lucier in the fall.
In District 5, Walter Petty won over Kim Beal by a 2-1 margin. Petty will run against incumbent Carl Thompson in the fall.
While statewide Elaine Marshall is the top vote-getter for the U.S. Senate Democratic primary, she squeaked by in Chatham County with 1,567 votes to Cal Cunningham's 1,525. While Ken Lewis won Durham County by a sizeable margin with more than 7,300 votes, he received just 446 in Chatham.
