Our thoughts with Cy Rawls and family

UPDATE: From Cy's blog: "Cy Rawls passed away peacefully this morning at 9:51 am in the company of his parents and a few close friends. Please check back for information about the visitation tomorrow night and a memorial service in the future."

It was hard to get too far into The Walkmen's set at Cat's Cradle last night after the news began to circulate that Cy Rawls, who has been fighting a brain tumor since July, was to be taken off of his respirator at Duke University this morning. Cy performed briefly with the Cy Rawlstars at The Pour House Saturday night before taking a turn for the worse over the remainder of the weekend. See more from Kerry Cantwell at Cy's blog.
