Three years ago, the North Carolina Music Love Army formed as a musical protest movement against Pat McCrory's government. Since then, the very government they were protesting has only gotten worse, especially in the wake of HB 2.

Led by Jon Lindsay, the group has now delivered a new song, "When You Were a Young Man," that directly addresses the bill. The tune features Pierce Freelon, JSWISS, and Topiq the Smooth Prophet. You can listen to it below.

The Music Love Army will return to the stage in a few weeks, too, headlining a July 9 benefit at Kings, with Birds of Avalon, Pie Face Girls, Wool, and S.E. Ward offering support. Proceeds will benefit Equality NC, the LGBT Center of Raleigh, and Now or Never NC.
