Videos: Kurt Fortmeyer and Dex Romweber slowly start the revived S.P.I.T.T.L.E. Fest

Posted by on Fri, Nov 15, 2013 at 6:41 PM

Night one of the lauded and revived S.P.I.T.T.L.E. Fest commandeered Deep South the Bar Thursday night. The evening began with several solo acts—including Josh Morningstar, Kurt Fortmeyer and Dex Romweber—before moving to full bands.

Below are a few clips of the evening with singer-songwriter Kurt Fortmeyer, the relocated Triangle resident currently residing in Nashville. Working through several songs that nodded to beer drinking and more serious subjects, he was followed by local legend Dex Romweber. It was a mellow start to what promises to be a ear-splitting gathering of groups, continuing tonight and Saturday at the Pour House.

Kurt Fortmeyer, "One More Night in Nashville"

Kurt Fortmeyer - (A Man Can't Live On) Beer Alone

Dex Romweber - "Is It Too Late?", "Blind Man", "Is That You in the Blue?"
