Re: “Hopscotch 2015: Godspeed in the rain, Deejay Earl in the basement

Have to disagree. Godspeed are transcendent live. But it's not for everybody.

Nothing makes one any more a true American than anyone else. If you live in America, you're a true American.

Re: “Live: Kid Rock, Foreigner and a night of folly in Raleigh

Sorry, I just don't get this concept of 'you don't agree with my ideology so you must HATE America.'

You're allowed to criticize places you love. It makes us better as a people. Not agreeing with YOU does not mean people inherently HATE this country. It's kind of a ridiculous logic jump.

The right loves to talk about personal freedom and liberty, but what they seem to mean is personal freedom and liberty for people that think like THEY do. Sure, talk all you want about SJWs and censorship, but the right is also all for stamping on the civil liberties of those they consider godless and immoral, inflicting THEIR personal ideas of religion and morality on a supposedly free populace. That sure seems like hypocrisy to me, and diametrically opposed to the whole concept this country you claim you love was built on (equality, diversity). You either believe in freedom and liberty for all or you don't (and stopping people from crushing the idea of liberty for others is not in and of itself persecution, either).

We're way off course, and I was actually pleasantly surprised at your relatively civil and mature response, so truly, thank you for that. It's a rarity to see someone conduct themselves like an adult regarding internet discourse, and sparing us from ad hominem attacks.

Re: “Live: Kid Rock, Foreigner and a night of folly in Raleigh

Someone ought to inform Dude that we actually fought a revolution for the right to dissent, OUT of love for this country and a desire to make it a better place. Y'know, for all the right's uneducated whining about 'commies', they sure do love the idea of an Infallible State where anyone who disagrees with their personal ideals must 'hate America'. That's a very Communist ideology. The right seems very frightened by anyone having opinions that aren't their own.

But I forget that government bashing is only okay if you have right-leaning politics. Then it isn't hating the country at all! I swear, hypocrisy and inherent contradiction must be in their very bones from birth.

TLDR: I think more accurately, if Kid Rock didn't suck giant truckloads of ass he'd get a rave review.

So many grumpy ageists commenting on this article. Please keep fitting every Boomer stereotype. It makes the rest of us laugh heartily.

Worry not about loud/heavy experimental bands, Grayson, Lost Trail's planning to be extremely loud and heavy for Hopscotch.
