Young Frankenstein

When: Wed., July 17, 8 p.m. 2013
Price: $5

Cool Classics at the Colony presents one of Mel Brooks' finest: 1974's Young Frankenstein, a dead-on homage to the visual style of the original James Whale film. It includes some of the greatest absurd characters in cinema, from Gene Wilder's high-strung "Fron-Kon-Steen" to Cloris Leachman's horse-terrifying Frau Blücher to Marty Feldman's bug-eyed Igor to Peter Boyle as the monster. Forget the Broadway musical; here's nothing like the real thing. —Zack Smith
