Yesterday's Saints, Knightmare, Rapheumet's Well

When: Sat., Aug. 29, 10 p.m. 2015
Price: $5-$8
Generation of Vipers, the full-length debut from Yesterday’s Saints, takes inspiration from an ageless muse: Satan. “It is the story of Satan throughout time: from his desire to usurp the throne of God to his modern infiltration of all mankind, with the indication that everyone on Earth is now a descendant of Satan,” the band notes. As Lucifer has been a prominent figure in metal as villain and hero, Yesterday’s Saints take a stylistically broad approach, pairing soaring power-metal melodies with death metal beatings, thrash momentum with dark interludes. —Bryan C.
