Re: “Support group Straight Talk helps families of prisoners

Hello !

Searching for ideas to make a true and positive messages for my brother who is currently incarcerated . Below is short story . I'm searching for others and experiences to help incarcerated individuals and to give support in the best way .

I appreciate any stories or thoughts .

My brother is serving 2 years . He is positive and he has given me such inspiration . He is 46 and first time prison . We have an appeal in process and I know in the end he will have justice .

His attitude is that he takes the punishment he feels that he was wrong and guilty . Never made excuses. He went through long jury trial and found guilty . The evidence and witness was not made available or lost . I'm writing today to ask opinions + thoughts from other family members or incarcerated individuals that can relate .

Question ; I want to post in some way or do something in social media . To give and keep respect and honor for my brother . If I was in that prison . I would be and feel loved knowing my family is not hiding or ashamed of me . Instead they are forthright and are championing me .

My brother has lost weight and in his time he is journaling . He is finding and doing it right . He must be lonely and the world forgot him . I know a broken soul and what it feels like to feel alone .

I would love to know and hear from someone incarcerated and what they silently kept to themselves. It's hard for many to stand up in today's cruel world . It's easier to hide and pretend .

I want to treat my brother the way I would want . His life time has been helping others and his heart is big . I need a few ideas and thoughts . This journey has made me feel for others like my brother . If I can be supporting and write to create a positive message . Helping any individual that has been incarcerated and relaunching when they are released .

My brother was so happy to hear from his friends . I am privately keeping them award and where to write him . I feel that is my focus currently . Even friends and family can forget you .

A mission to help spread a positive message . Give families tips and stories to help . I can't stand the hiding and don't talk about it .

Its shows only weakness and I would rather be forward and not have people think or whispers . I know in the end he will show how others what adversity looks like and walk with their own humble and unique swagger .

I hope this message is read. In advance thank you for feedback and tips .

Sincerely
