YA Authors Panel

When: Thu., Feb. 20, 7 p.m. 2014
Four YA authors, two of whom are from North Carolina, offer their wares on this new tour. Their topics range from teenagers coming back from the dead (Vengeance by Megan Miranda, who lives outside Charlotte) to finding themselves caught in the middle of the plots of The Island of Doctor Moreau and now Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (Her Dark Curiosity by Asheville's Megan Hansen Shepherd) to being precognitive in a totalitarian future (Kasie West's Split Second) or just falling in love despite being from social circles (Robin Constantine's The Promise of Amazing). Whatever the case, I think we can all agree on one thing: Whether it's vampires, evil future governments or just zits, being a teenager really sucks, doesn't it? Discuss it with the authors themselves at this Quail Ridge Books panel, or again at Flyleaf Books on their Feb. 21 appearance there. —Zack Smith
