World Cup final

When: Sun., July 11, 2:30 p.m. 2010

Bar/ movie theater/ living room near you—Four years ago, soccer superstar Zinedine Zidane became a viral YouTube superstar after his spectacular, self-immolating head butt near the end of an otherwise dismal World Cup final between Italy and France. Let's hope for a better game this Sunday. Today's final will feature Holland against the winner of Wednesday's semifinal clash between Spain and Germany. With any luck, it will be a game between two countries that have never won—and if Spain defeats Germany, a new winner will be assured. It'll also be your very last chance to hear the din of 50,000 vuvuzelas, so you'll most definitely want to mark your calendar for 2:30 p.m. Otherwise, the next World Cup will be in 2014 and should be easier to attend, since it'll be in Brazil. —David Fellerath
