Wilted Woman, L Lewis, Blanket, Filament, Nudery

When: Wed., Feb. 18, 9 p.m. 2015
Price: $7
Splitting time between Berlin and Providence, Wilted Woman makes synth-pop and bass-heavy dance tracks that suggest a damaged rainbow, where some colors have simply disappeared and others have faded. It’s provocative stuff, with rhythms that don’t sit still and melodies that continually shift shapes. L Lewis sometimes devotes sets to constant rhythm mutations, with glitch pops and jungle beats cohabitating. But the Providence export also attempts to harmonize with harsh noise, and the results are exploratory and magnificent. —Grayson Haver Currin
