Willie Nelson & Family

When: Sat., Sept. 14, 8 p.m. 2013
Price: $35-54.50
Despite turning 80 in April, Willie Nelson is as active as ever, nearing the release of his fifth album this decade and booked to play almost 150 shows this year. Between the classic country canon and more contemporary material, he's become a master of the cover, while still writing his own tunes both poignant and—like the rollicking "Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die"—irreverent. Along with his Family band, Nelson will roll through a revue of not just his own signature songs but the country genre as a whole. The wooded confines of Koka Booth should provide a pleasant setting for taking in Nelson's hits while Willie takes in a few of his own. —Spencer Griffith
