Re: “Ari Picker wants to pay people to think in symphonies

Blume's prediction that our arts culture will become more and more "dumbed" down has come true. I can not believe that the pop music and classical blend is still believed to be a potent direction for new music. Symphonic musical thought is a deep realm to swim in-too deep for the light weightedness of pop music better suited for shallow waters. Symphonies where not composed because the form existed like a huge hole in the ground to dump ideas into. Great symphonies were result of an extraordinary level of human expression.
