Volunteer Spotlight

Project Homestart: The Inter-Faith Council for Social Service began Project Homestart to provide transitional housing and case-management services to those in need. Project Homestart has openings for two types of volunteer positions: female overnight volunteers, who provide a safe and comfortable environment for residents, and mentors (male or female) for children living in the transitional housing units. The Inter-Faith Council can use volunteers for its other programs and services as well, as their needs are constantly changing. Call 932-6025, ext. 11, to volunteer for Project Homestart; call 929-8531 for other IFC opportunities.
