Vogue Men's Fashions

When: Thursdays-Saturdays, 8 p.m. Continues through July 27 2013
Price: $5-$15

In what Urban Garden Performing Arts is calling its "Other White Man Project," writer Richard Butner, video and environmental design artist Jon Haas and actor John Jimerson look at race and masculinity from the viewpoints of guys growing up and trying to navigate manhood in Southern culture. Long before 213 W. Fayetteville St. became the final home of the much-missed Raleigh Ensemble Players, it housed the clothing store cited in the title. In this site-specific work, performed in an upstairs studio, a 30-something man returns to a room he remembers from his childhood with a camera, a host of memories—and a problem.
