Vladimir Feltsman

When: Fri., March 6, 8 p.m. 2015
Price: $10-$38
Pianist Vladimir Feltsman’s backstory is legendary. Banned by the Soviet government from performing in 1979, Feltsman migrated to the United States after a 1987 intervention by Secretary of State George Schultz. For this solo recital, he will perform sonatas by Haydn and Schubert that feature lovely, expansive slow moments, plus Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition. Expect finely crafted details with a subtle fire. —Dan Ruccia
