Vinyl Appreciation Day with the Black Jedi Chapter of the Universal Zulu Nation

When: Fri., July 17, 6 p.m. 2015
Price: free
Don’t wait until the release of the new Star Wars to enjoy the company of fellow Jedi Knights. Better yet, this record-store geek-out will include Black Jedi Knights from the local chapter of the hip-hop order, Universal Zulu Nation. This year’s dedication to resurgent vinyl shouldn’t be so different from last year’s, except that co-organizer 9th Wonder might be feeling extra-retro after finally releasing his 2003 DJ set on Marley Marl’s Future Flavors radio show, recorded the day after 9th played beats for Jay-Z. —Eric Tullis
