Veelee | All Day Records | Clubs & Concerts | Indy Week
This is a past event.
When: Sun., Dec. 5, 6 p.m. 2010
Price: Free

The numbers will tell you that indie record stores are failing fast; the cynics will tell you that indie rock by a romantic couple is more an inroad to cute, less to interesting music. Yet drummer Ginger Wagg and guitarist Matthew Park—together, the singers/ songwriters/ arrangers of Carrboro duo Veelee—present pop songs that twist, turn and tessellate in a new, vinyl-focused boutique that's as attuned to rare Gamelan strains as it is to German dance-floor crazes. This 6 p.m. in-store performance is free, but Veelee's fresh LP, The Future Sight, is just one of several purchases you might want to consider. —Grayson Currin
