Re: “'The VA is waiting for us to die'

I am a caregiver great niece of a Korean War Disabled Vet. For two years I have been fighting for benefits my uncle should have been given years ago, one being Aid and Attendance grant. He has been 100% SC since before I was born due to gunshot in his head. After fighting the second appeal and sending an email up to Washington his records have been changed to show his hearing impaired is NOT service connected after over 50 yrs of it being a service connected injury. This has been truly stressful and unbelievable what veterans have to go through after fighting for this sorry country to come home and have to fight the very ones who are constantly shipping them over to fight for our freedom. It is truly pathetic what the VA continues to do, what if they were in any of these veterans shoes, let them be unable to walk and not do the daily functions as some of us are blessed to do on our own. This situation has caused so much stress on me that I have damaged my health and still we continue to fight. When will it end?
