The Triangle is one of 17 sites nationally to develop an Imagining with the U.S. Department of Arts and Culture (, the nation’s newest people-powered movement. Community members from across the Southeast will gather to collectively envision 2034. This Southeastern Imagining invokes rural roots with a County Fair theme: music, funnel cakes, snowcones, blue ribbons, photo booths. What do our intersecting communities look like now that it’s 2034 and arts and culture are fully embedded in civic life?
