Twin Peaks, Tweens, Naked Naps

When: Sat., Oct. 18, 10 p.m. 2014
Price: $10-$12
They wanna jangle, and they wanna romp. They wanna get savage, and they wanna get stoned: On their recent second album, Wild Onion, the Chicago quartet Twin Peaks rips through their record collection with reverent glee, turning in performances that alternately conjures The Go-Betweens and The Rolling Stones, Arthur Lee and Syd Barrett. It’s the fine but unfocused enthusiasm of four dudes, sprawled across 16 tracks. More intriguing is Tweens, a Cincinnati trio that delights behind the crackling lead of Bridget Battle, who coos just long enough for her voice to get wonderfully corrosive. —Grayson Haver Currin
