I am often on the opposite side of the political spectrum that Hallie's parents support, to include some environmental issues. In America, we can agree to disagree. Her parents are in fact very warm and loving people. You do not know them. You are flat out wrong. They are anything but abusive.

There is nothing wrong with being responsible with our human pollution. Like anything else in life, balance is key. I personally believe our real understanding of earth's natural cycles is far too little. We like to think we can control nature when we can't. But I applaud scientific research. Our challenge is that multiple 10,000 year cycle studies don't exist.

No matter what one believes, Hallie is acting on her beliefs and trying to make the world a better place the best she knows how, and it is impressive! That is a huge credit to her parents.
