TREATBAG

PONYSAURUS BREWING COMPANY, DURHAM

SATURDAY, OCT. 31

Treatbag is a local Halloween institution. A one-night-only chuckle- and chill-fest, it's an immersive theatrical upgrade to the usual fright-night fare. Since it's always hard to find out what Little Green Pig Theatrical Concern will be throwing at the audience in its annual fundraiser, we sent a scout over to new taproom Ponysaurus to see what producer Caitlin Wells is up to. The scout sent back these text messages before we lost contact: haunted brewery ... careful: VERY interactive freakshow ... disgruntled drunken jesters ... a "Blue Velvet" singalong? ... interrogation room ... Baraka's Dutchman on the bus ... hiding behind the vats ... KNIFE ... We've heard nothing else since. If any of you see him there, could you ask him to call the office?

9 p.m., $15 suggested donation, 219 Hood St., Durham, 978-482-7701, www.littlegreenpig.com. —Byron Woods
