Toxic Holocaust, Lord Dying, Suppressive Fire, Gorbash

When: Mon., Sept. 14, 9 p.m. 2015
Price: $10
Joel Grind, the mastermind behind Toxic Holocaust, was summoning thrash metal with Bathory vibes before your green ass knew that patches and denim went together. He was making demo tapes when no one thought a No Life ‘til Leather reissue would make money. He slugged it out in the underground enough for Relapse to notice when it needed some of that Municipal Waste money. While he may live in the same city as metal pizzeria Sizzle Pie, thrash is not a joke for him. —Andy O'Connor
