Tour de Fat | Diamond View Park / American Tobacco Center Stage | Socials | Indy Week
This is a past event.
When: Sat., June 15, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. 2013

New Belgium Brewing has combined key ingredients for what promises to be an eccentric good time: beer, bands, brave fashion choices and bicycles. The touring event begins with a parade of bikes through downtown Durham, suitable for riders of all ages and skill levels. Following the parade is a festival, with live music from Those Darlins (at 1:30 p.m.) and He's My Brother She's My Sister (at 4 p.m.). Colorful costumes are encouraged. The Durham tour is one of 12 scheduled nationally between May and October; about 2,200 people attended last year. Proceeds from beer and merchandise will go toward making the city a more pleasant place to ride a bike.—Mary Alta Feddeman
