Torry Bend

When: Thu., Sept. 24 2015

TALLEY STUDENT UNION AT N.C. STATE—Puppet theater mastermind Torry Bend has relocated to Minneapolis, but she returns for an evening to perform and talk about her work in conjunction with the Gregg Museum's puppetry exhibit at N.C. State. In Nesting, Bend stands before you with an elaborate dollhouse theater on her head to express the emotional side of real estate. Puppeteers Drina Dunlap, Monet Marshall and Evan Mitchell join Bend for excerpts from If My Feet Have Lost the Ground, an immersive meditation upon love and isolation incorporating video and puppetry. The event is in room 3222 in Talley Student Union. 6 p.m., free, 2610 Cates Ave., Raleigh, 919-515-3138, —Chris Vitiello
