Tommy Edwards and Andrew Marlin

When: Sun., March 29, 5-7 p.m. 2015
Tommy Edwards and Andrew Marlin share a father-and-son chemistry, even though they’re not related. As they weave through acoustic tunes, they crack jokes by way of puns and backhanded compliments like old, close buddies would. Edwards has been in the business of bluegrass for the better part of 50 years, while Marlin’s best known as half of the folksy young duo Mandolin Orange. Their January set at the Museum of History delivered a delightful mix of traditional tunes and originals. At that show, the pair unintentionally breezed past the intended end time; they won’t want to stop, and you won’t want them to, either. —Allison Hussey
