The bookends of this triple bill rose from the same starting-point, though in different generations. Todd Snider emerged in the early '90s as a wisecracking wunderkind after cutting his teeth in a San Marcos, Texas, hangout called Cheatham Street Warehouse. The venue's owner, Kent Finlay, is the father of opening act HalleyAnna, who steers more toward rural twang on her aptly titled debut disc The Country. Between them are The Ayr Mountaineers, an acoustic quartet rising fast within the local Americana scene. —Peter Blackstock
