Todd Forsgren | Daylight Project Space | Arts | Indy Week
This is a past event.
When: Sept. 25-Oct. 19 2015
Price: Free

DAYLIGHT PROJECT SPACE—To be clear, Todd Forsgren does not take pictures of dead birds. He photographs live ones caught in mist nets, which snare birds without harming them so ornithologists can carefully measure and band them before releasing them. But what is the cost of observation and description? Forsgren's clinically crisp photographs critique the ornithological process while allowing the individual animal's stunning, animate beauty to blaze through. Daylight Project Space shows Forsgren's work and celebrates his book release on the imprint. Join the photographer at this opening reception, after which the exhibit runs through Oct. 19. 6–9 p.m., free, 121 W. Margaret Lane, Ste. D, Hillsborough, —Chris Vitiello
