Todd Barry

When: Thu., Oct. 28, 9:30 p.m. 2010
Price: $12

"I love touring the South. Some people up North are afraid of the South—it's weird," comedian Todd Barry said on his 2008 live release, From Heaven. That line was the preamble to a hilarious bit about the cultural conditions (jokes about Jews, live animals for cars, pork rinds for payments) that New York friends assume he meets here. Tonight, Barry returns to a Southern stage with his soft-voiced, keen sarcasm and jokes about, among other things, sex, food, shopping and the strange encounters of life in New York. The 10 p.m. show costs $12 and is ages 18+. —Grayson Currin
