HIV might not be the major issue of the day that it was in the '80s, but it still looms large in the minds of many. The North Carolina Harm Reduction Coalition (NCHRC) aims to keep it that way as they present a two-night fundraiser on the issue. The exhibit will feature work from 25 artists, with themes ranging from drug use and other risky behaviors to LGBTQA issues. The artists themselves represent a mix of professionals, self-taught and those "from the streets." In addition to the art, the event will feature free HIV testing, syringe exchange demonstrations and a raffle. Half the proceeds will go to support the NCHRC, with the other half directly aiding those at risk of HIV and HCV infection. —Sarah Ewald
