BALZAC AND THE LITTLE CHINESE SEAMSTRESS
UNC CAMPUS—Many of us enjoy browsing old books with the hopes of unearthing a treasure. Rob Hamilton, technical director at UNC's Department of Communications Studies, found such a book. Balzac and The Little Chinese Seamstress takes place during China's Cultural Revolution, when thousands of intellectuals were forcibly "re-educated." Hamilton adapted it for the stage, complete with masks, live music, multimedia and puppets. Performed by UNC staff, alumni and people from the Triangle, the play runs from June 14 to July 1. WILD STYLE
NASHER MUSEUM OF ART—As a complement to the Street Level exhibit, the museum presents a film series exploring the origins, history and legacy of hip-hop, graffiti art and break dancing. Tonight's 7 p.m. screening of Wild Style is free. —Iesha Brown
