On Saturday, April 8 at 10 p.m., Brasa Brazilian Steakhouse in Raleigh is hosting a Brazilian Carnaval Party with live Brazilian music and samba dancers, plus a Capoeira exhibition and DJ. They promise the best capirinhas in town. Admission is $45 with dinner or $15 ($20 per couple) without dinner. Call 544-3344.

Aurora in Chapel Hill will be hosting a Passover dinner Thursday, April 13 at 6 p.m., featuring a specially written service by Barry Katz and a menu prepared according to the Mediterranean Jewish tradition. Executive Chef Gwen Higgins is serving wild mushroom soup, Jewish artichokes Roman style, fillet of halibut and braised lamb shank. The Matzo bread is made in-house and baked in a wood-fired oven by Pastry Chef Jessie Manthey, who is creating desserts for the dinner. Italian wines, picked by owner Hank Straus, will accompany the meal and the service. Gentiles and Jews alike are welcome! The cost is $75 not including tax and gratuity. Nantucket Cafe & Grill in Chapel Hill is showcasing its wine and beer selection with two weekday specials. On Mondays, all glasses or bottles of wine and beer are half off with the purchase of any seafood entrée. On Thursdays, receive half off all wine and beer with the purchase of any dinner entrée. At Jujube in Chapel Hill, try a new experience this Easter--dim sum brunch. Sharing small plates of dumplings and pork buns allows large groups to dine family-style and sample a host of flavors. At Nasher Museum Cafe in Durham, Chef Amy Tornquist will offer a special menu featuring traditional dishes such as hot lamb sandwiches. Kid-friendly desserts will include whimsical sweets like iced Easter cookies and classic daffodil cake. Weather permitting, outdoor seating overlooking the sculpture garden will be available. Porter's City Tavern in Raleigh will offer their regular brunch menu with selections to please the whole family, including brioche French toast and chipped beef gravy. Porter's has extended their hours this Easter and will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. For reservations, call 821-2133.

At Vin Rouge in Durham, the outdoor patio is ideal for Easter Sunday (weather permitting). French classics like eggs Florentine and croque monsieur will be supplemented with holiday specials. Open 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. For reservations, call 416-0466.

At Vivace in Raleigh, for a sophisticated Italian twist on Easter Sunday, toast springtime with Italy's classic brunch cocktail--a Bellini made with peach puree and prosecco.
