Re: “Thinking of Going to the Reopened Café Helios in Raleigh? About That...

As a Helios regular for about 10 years...I will say it's refreshing to see a staff that cares when the biggest complaint for the old for over a decade was that they didn't seem to. It's refreshing that they're listening to feedback and tweaking things as they go. The old helios throughout it's history had plenty of charm, plenty of quirks and yes it was at times as good as memory serves and as terrible and worse than this review makes the new one sound. The new one is new, it is many things the old one was (depending on when you came to know of the old one), many it wishes it could have been as well.

When you visit I think you'll find it either ad a sequel to your favorite movie (about as good or maybe never as good as the original) or as the episodes of your favorite show past the pilot. You liked the first episode, but once they figured out the cast and a few other things, it got even better. I think the new Helios is already there and will only improve in time.

In any case, this article is brutally unfair at best and fails at every attempt of wit. At no point was it constructive or useful to the community or to the reader.
