Third Date

When: April 5-6, 8 p.m. 2013
Price: $12

You know what old-timers say about the third date, right? That's when it's been just long enough for sex to become a viable option. You might get lucky. You might not. Who knows? It's that element of anticipation and unknown outcomes from which Third Date, the Triangle's newest improvisational company, takes its name. Director Dan Sipp has assembled actors and improvisers from various theatrical companies around the Triangle. They'll come together for two nights to improvise comic and dramatic scenes about society and relationships and changes in life. This will be Third Date's premiere performance; Sipp plans to bring together a different group of actors for all future productions. It's like dating, if dating didn't suck. —Emma Miller
