The Watkins Family Hour

When: Thu., Sept. 10, 8 p.m. 2015
Price: $30
For the past decade-plus, Sara and Sean Watkins—two-thirds of the Grammy-winning progressive roots act Nickel Creek—have hosted a monthly residency at the Los Angeles club Largo. Now they’re on the road with that concept, supporting this summer’s Watkins Family Hour LP. The album is a pleasant crop of Americana interpretations of traditional tunes like “Hop High,” the Grateful Dead’s “Brokedown Palace” and more. Fiona Apple joins the family and their cohorts for this tour. Expect a wonderful, spirited evening of songs. —Allison Hussey
