The Vibrators, Natural Causes, Poison Anthem

When: Wed., Oct. 7, 9 p.m. 2015
Price: $10
While The Vibrators never achieved the wide acclaim of The Clash or The Buzzcocks (or even Stiff Little Fingers, who took their name from a Vibrators song), the band’s 1977 debut, Pure Mania, is a British punk classic. Playing on and off ever since, The Vibrators today sound like a shell of its former self. Last year’s Punk Mania: Back to the Roots is a pale reminder of past glories. The Carrboro trio Natural Causes offers a much more invigorated and prickly approach to the classic punk template. —Bryan C. Reed
