The Vespers

When: Mon., Aug. 27, 7:30 p.m. 2012
Price: $5

Before closing its doors on Sept. 3, the Christian-centered café and occasional music venue at 201 Tryon Road has a high-profile send-off with an appearance by this faith-based folk-pop quartet of early-twentysomethings from Nashville. Singers and sisters Callie and Phoebe Cryar are following in the footsteps of their father, contemporary-Christian artist Morgan Cryar; in the Vespers, they team up with brothers Taylor and Bruno Jones. Their sophomore disc, The Fourth Wall, released in April, puts the Cryars' voices out front, supported by acoustic instrumentation including guitar, mandolin and banjo. —Peter Blackstock
