The South Carolina Broadcasters

When: Thu., Nov. 29, 8:30 p.m. 2012
Price: Free

Charleston trio Ivy Sheppard, Sarah Osborne and David Sheppard layer close harmony over fiddle, banjo and guitar for a warm take on old-time tunes. These South Carolina Broadcasters are as likely to play old favorites as newly crafted gems. Their latest album, Can You Hear Me Now, is a fine follow-up to their self-produced debut, A Thousand Miles from Home. "Can't Feel at Home in this World," the trio sing on their latest, and while that may be the gospel truth, it's lucky for all that they're here to sing and play in this one. Admission is free. —Ashley Melzer
