The Secret Art of Dr Seuss

When: July 12-Aug. 22 2011

"Pleeeeeze read Green Eggs and Ham one more time and then I swear I'll go to bed!" resounds through so many nighttime nurseries that parents may have forgotten that Dr. Seuss wrote and illustrated dozens of titles besides the aforementioned book, the third-largest-selling in the English language. Today is the final day to view illustrations of not only your favorite Seuss titles, but many created for his own personal enjoyment. This exhibit of limited, authorized estate editions of serigraphs, lithographs and bronze sculptures has been on view for six weeks, and was presented in conjunction with the Gallery at Racine in Wilmington. All artwork is available for purchase, and benefits Health Arts Network at Duke. —Christina Cass
