The Queers, Nobodys, Murphy's Kids, Urban Pioneers

When: Fri., Sept. 18, 9 p.m. 2015
Price: $12-$15
The Queers have outlasted generations of punks, staying mostly true to their juvenile, hooky and rudimentary three-chord pop-punk. Founded in 1982, the band showed up on early Killed By Death compilations before cleaning up (slightly) for a second wind at the fore of the ‘90s pop-punk surge. In 2015, The Queers aren’t fixing what isn’t broken. In fact, they just released a rerecorded version of 2000’s Beyond the Valley... (Why they didn’t revisit their far-better ‘90s catalog is a question for the ages.) —Bryan C. Reed
