Action/Adventure, Suspense/Thriller

Pierce Brosnan returns to espionage duty as Peter Devereaux, code-named the November Man, a field agent so lethal that both his enemies and his allies want him dead. Australian newcomer Luke Bracey plays Brosnan's protege, a rookie agent with daddy issues, and fellow 007 veteran Olga Kurylenko is the damsel in perpetual distress. Director Roger Donaldson (The Rookie) delivers the thrills efficiently, but the double-crosses and intrigues are so half-baked that they distract from the action. When your movie is this essentially pulpy, you're better off not taking things too seriously. Anyway, Brosnan clearly has fun dirtying up his James Bond persona. Devereaux is a stone cold killer. He might order a martini, but only so he can smash the glass and slice your femoral artery.
