The Music Man

When: Thursdays-Sundays. Continues through Sept. 29 2013
Well, we've got a musical. Here at Temple Theatre. With a capital "M," and that stands for "Meredith Wilson's The Music Man." OK, that variation on the "Trouble" number made no sense, but at least you knew where we were going with it. The haunting tale of a city besieged by the corrupting influence of a pool hall on its impressionable youth and the "noble" stranger who promises to bring order through the power of marching bands has proven a mainstay of the American theater. But damned if anyone can tell you what a "Shipoopi" is. We don't recommend googling it. —Zack Smith
