The Lion in Winter

When: Feb. 14-March 2 2014
Theatre in the Park takes a victory lap with an encore production of The Lion in Winter, whose 2005 production made our list of the last decade's best in theater. James Goldman's witty 1966 script lays bare the long-standing domestic grudge match between Henry II and Eleanor of Aquitane, two grandmaster manipulators now forced to confront the endgame they've set up among their warring sons. Ira David Wood III and Lynda Clark revisit their memorable lead performances. —Byron Woods
