The Hotels

When: Wed., March 20, 10 p.m. 2013
Price: Free

Late last year, young Atlanta band The Hotels released their debut, Girl-Crazy. The band's crisp pop-rock was enough to warrant praise in the Atlanta zine Stomp & Stammer, which raved, "The Hotels sound like Weezer with dumber lyrics." True enough, the trio's casual vocal harmonies and overdriven guitar lines will sound familiar to any Rivers Cuomo fan. In the face of potty-mouth punchlines and sarcastic observations, The Hotels imbue their songs with a sense of sincerity, putting humor in service of their lovelorn characters.—Bryan C. Reed
