The God Game | Stage | Indy Week
This is a past event.
When: Feb. 3-18 2017
Price: $8-$18

Tom's the junior Republican senator from Virginia, an up-and-comer with smarts, integrity, and some surprisingly progressive ideas. Fortunately or not, the party's candidate for president—and leader of its "anti-intellectual, anti-gay wing"—wants him to balance out the ticket as his vice president. Complicating factor: Tom's agnostic, and principled enough that he won't want to claim otherwise. Of course, the U.S. Constitution states "no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust." But Suzanne Bradbeer's timely three-character drama asks if any candidate can be elected without playing the God game. June Guralnick directs David Hudson, Courtney Christison, and Beau Clark in this Sonorous Road production.—Byron Woods
